1. Time of event: To avoid disturbances in the office, we recommend that you set the termination event for the end of the employee’s work period.  We will be ready and available to escort them out at this point. This reduces potential issues with the employee making outbursts or physical threats and reduces workplace gossip.
2. Pick the place:  We recommend terminating the employee in a location that is close to a building exit. This reduces altercation potential and the amount of distance that must be covered to get them out of the building.
3. Have a final payment ready: You should have a final payment for services rendered by the employee available for the termination meeting. If you prefer, we can also hand over the check once the employee is off company property. You do not want to incur the need of having to meet this employee again because they were owed a pay check.
4. The employee’s belongings: During the termination meeting, another employee should be tasked with clearing out all personal belongings of the employee to be terminated. We will hand these over after the escort once the employee is at their vehicle.
5. The escort: Once you have terminated the employee, we will escort them directly to their vehicle and make sure they leave. We can also stay behind to make sure they do not return, if necessary. You are in complete control on how you wish to design the event.
